Spring 2012 Season

Field Changes at Kickers On Sat. 19th

Please check schedules weekly for changes

Rescheduling Canceled Matches
(Due to Field Closures)

The fastest way to a reschedule is to contact the coach or manager from the team you were scheduled to play and see if there is an available date that will work for both teams. We would like to have a week for the refs. You can view each team's schedules on the web site which should help in finding an open date. Team Blackouts are posted below. Contact info is on our Team page. We do not post email addresses. I will send addresses upon request. Please remember that most teams are scheduled to play on their available weekends and a reschedule may not be possible.

Scheduled Match Policy

After schedules are finalized at the start of each season, no match may be canceled or rescheduled for any reason other than weather related field closures. Once a match has started, the referee has the responsibility to stop a match if conditions become unplayable or dangerous to continue.

Substituting Player Policy

The IPSL does not have a roster requirement, although we do require all teams to play their scheduled matches. That is the team that was placed in the division and scheduled. You can play any player from your club in a scheduled match as long as you do not substantially change the level of competition. It is the IPSL policy, that as a courtesy to the opposition, if you need to add players from another team, call the opposing coach and inform them of your situation. Otherwise you risk the match declared a forfeit if the substituted players create a mismatch.

Match Rules

There are no roster requirements in the IPSL. Players may play up or down in age divisions.
Teams are limited to 14 on the sideline for U11/12 matches. 18 for U13 and above.

All players and coaches must present to the referee, prior to the start of the match, a current ISA membership pass, with picture, laminated both sides, from the club they represent. This may be the traditional USYSA pass or the ISA Club Pass. Players may only play for one club in the IPSL. Only coaches and players who have presented passes may be on the team sidelines. Spectators are required to take the opposite side of the field.

** Signitures are no longer required.

Guest players are allowed if they are not from another IPSL Club. Referees must inform both coaches of guest players. A player or coach who arrives to a match late must present a current pass to the sideline official at the time of arrival.

There are no exceptions to this rule. If the referee cannot verify everyone on the field is registered, the match will be abandoned and logged as not played.

Match Duration

U11/U12             30 minute halves
U13/U14             35 minute halves.
U15/U19             40 minutes halves.

Coaches may change the length of any match as long as both coaches agree and inform the referee prior to the start of a match.

Teams play the match length of the oldest team scheduled to compete. Coaches will advise referees if they are playing two games in one day.

Substitutions

U13 and Older Age Divisions

Unlimited player substitutions at any stoppage at the discretion of the referee, with a limit of three times per half.

When a team has used their three allotted stoppages for substitutions in a half they cannot substitute for any reason including a player who leaves the field for attention due to an injury. The injured player may re-enter at the discretion of the referee.

U11/12 Age Division

Unlimited Substitutions shall be made with the consent of the referee at the following times: Both teams may substitute if players are at the center mark.

  1. Prior to a throw-in in your favor
  2. Prior to a goal kick by either team
  3. After a goal by either team
  4. A team may substitute for an injured player or players and the opponent may substitute a like number of players, when the referee stops play for an injury
  5. At halftime.
  6. A change of jersey if requested by the referee.
